Day 3: The Body’s Stress Meter

Did you know that your body has an internal stress meter?

This internal stress meter is your own breath. When we accumulate stress in our system, our breathing typically becomes more tense, more shallow and more rapid. By giving your presence to your breath, it will naturally begin to relax and slow down.

Remember, you don’t have to control your breath or try to make it deeper or longer. The practice is to let the breathing be as it is. This will take some time, so keep up your practice.
